What I Teach
Personalized one-on-one online sessions covering the full range of high school and early college math.
Core Subjects
- Basic Math & Pre-Algebra — Fractions, decimals, percentages, integers, order of operations, introductory equations
- Algebra 1 & 2 — Linear equations, systems, polynomials, factoring, quadratics, exponentials, logs, functions
- Geometry — Proofs, congruence, similarity, circles, area/volume, coordinate geometry, trigonometry basics
- Pre-Calculus — Advanced functions, trigonometry, sequences/series, limits introduction, analytic geometry
- Calculus — Limits, derivatives, integrals, applications, related rates, optimization, basic differential equations
How Sessions Work
Every session is tailored. We can focus on homework help, test preparation, concept review, or building long-term foundations. I use clear explanations, worked examples, and practice problems so the student leaves knowing why the method works — not just how to push buttons on a calculator.
Sessions are conducted via Zoom (or similar) with a shared digital whiteboard. Notes and practice materials can be shared after each meeting.
Collaborative Online Whiteboard
We use a real-time shared whiteboard so both of us can write, draw, and solve problems together — just like sitting side-by-side with paper.
- I draw and explain step-by-step with a stylus/tablet for clear handwriting.
- You can also draw, annotate, and try problems yourself on the same board.
- Works with Zoom’s built-in whiteboard or Miro for a larger infinite canvas.
- No special software required for students — just a browser or the Zoom app.
This is a big upgrade from a traditional document camera and makes the session more interactive.
Who This Is For
- High school students preparing for tests or struggling with current material
- College students in calculus or pre-calculus who need clearer explanations
- Adults returning to math for career or personal goals
- Anyone who prefers patient, structured teaching over rushed group classes
